Tragedy Turned Miracle

I’m Logan, and looking back now, it’s amazing to see how something so simple — a little foam, a few zip ties, and a whole lot of love — turned into the Happy Jack Float.

Years ago, when I was just a kid, I fell from a tree swing at my Paw Paw’s. That accident left me with multiple injuries, the worst being a traumatic brain injury. The doctors didn’t expect me to survive. I spent three weeks in a coma and the entire summer at Children’s Hospital in New Orleans. But through prayer, incredible care, and more strength than anyone knew I had, that tragedy became a miracle.

Fast‑forward to today: I’m talking up a storm, moving forward in life, and doing things no one thought I’d ever do. I still have some limitations, but my Maw Maw and Paw Paw have never let those limitations define me. They’ve always been the kind of people who see a challenge and immediately start building a solution.

One of my biggest joys has always been the water — swimming, floating, just being in it. But traditional pool floats weren’t made for someone like me. I’d slip off, slide around, and spend more time trying to stay on than actually enjoying myself.

So Maw Maw and Paw Paw got creative. They grabbed some foam, zip ties, and a whole lot of determination. Before long, they had built a float that actually worked for me — stable, comfortable, and fun. I loved it instantly. And then something even better happened: everyone else loved it too. My family, my friends, even the kid down the street wanted one.

That’s when the Happy Jack Float was born.

Maw Maw added cup‑holder “eyes” and a big smile — just like the one I have when I’m floating on it. What started as a simple solution for me has grown into something we get to share with families everywhere.

Today, years later, the Happy Jack Float is more than a pool float. It’s a reminder of resilience, creativity, and the power of family. It’s proof that miracles can turn into ideas, and ideas can turn into something that brings joy to people far beyond our backyard.
